We're looking for a Senior Analyst to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for mining multiple sources of data, deriving actionable insights, and translating complex results or algorithms into simple conclusions that will empower the team to take action and win with consumers. You will be a primary driver of delivering insights that will educate and influence key business decision-making with our Customer and Brand teams.

This Senior Analyst will be a critical member of the Retail team, business knowledge, social, and communication skills are needed to thrive in this multi-functional high-performance team.

Responsibilities

• Analytics Leader
o Develop new tools and reports to enable the team to review business results and drive key insights
o Maintain KPI reports/dashboards that communicate key business trends and highlight opportunities for growth and operational improvements
o Tell stories through actionable insights and key business recommendations
o Dive into the data, maximize sources, and simplify decisions for the team o Continuously innovate reporting systems and adjust based on leadership reporting needs
o Help build out and own our analytics tool, Looker. Have a passion for data in order to deliver a competitive advantage for SmileDirectClub

• Multi-Functional Engagement
o Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Brand, & Operations, teams to understand their challenges, and provide analytical support to help drive decision making at key accounts
o Deliver a strong understanding of the business with a combination of system knowledge, analytics and business expertise. You'll provide the most appropriate data and information for the audience. You have the agility to tailor your approach based on the insights needed for each function
o As the business insights expert, you make the team aware of issues or concerns that are impacting the business significantly and collaborate to address
o Wide range of business acumen when delivering analytic insights across customer, consumer, share, market, ecommerce, & digital performance

• Communicate Insights Effectively
o You have strong communication skills when presenting data and you're ambitious about finding solutions to complex problems
o Ability to take large data sources and put together a simplified a bulleted summary of the key takeaways
o Identify missing reports or programs and take initiative by putting together an action plan to help solve the issue
o Ability to create a one pager with the most important information pulled from large amounts of data

Qualifications

It will really make us smile if you have...

• A Bachelor or Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Operation Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Analytics etc...)
• 4 years of related experience
• Experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist or Management Consultant preferred
• Experience leading quantitative and qualitative analysis with techniques to solve defined business problems.
• Ability to communicate and influence agreement to your recommendations
• Expert in Excel and SQL
• Experience telling stories and selling with data and insights.
• You are comfortable working with diverse business scenarios, handling multiple priorities and have a business & consultancy mind-set, while technically (data) savvy.
• Passion about discovering new things and ability to learn quickly. "can-do" attitude
• Experience with data visualization tools, Python, and R a plus
• Self-motivated, strong social skills, agile, and work well in a fast-paced environment
• Interested in leveraging technology to do cutting edge reporting and analysis
• Naturally curious; seeks out answers by diving deep into the data
• An excellent communicator who loves to share findings and actionable insights
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in an entrepreneurial environment
