Position Overview

The Assistant Manager of Trade Marketing will support all marketing efforts that drive sales and market share growth for the Smashbox brand in North America. In partnership with Executive Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager, the Assistant Manager will support all trade marketing for the region with a specific responsibility for social media marketing within the region.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop working knowledge of the commercial goals for each retail account and support marketing programs that drive sales and enhance brand affinity with consumers. Provide real-time campaign reporting and post launch analysis to inform shifts for future launches and marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as brand "eyes and ears" for North America with active monitoring of competitive activity both in-store and online as well as Smashbox ratings and reviews across retailers. Synthesize insights and form conclusions to socialize with internal teams.
  • Execute brand led retailer social strategy and responsible for increasing retailer share of voice within owned brand channels. Closely monitor retailer and brand owned social channels to engage with consumers as needed with an "always on" approach for North America.
  • Serve as main point of contact for retailer social media teams and partner with internal Digital, Account Management and Global Consumer Engagement Teams to drive retailer omni-channel priorities and initiatives forward.
  • Maintain and compile department planning tools including 360 Marketing Calendars and retailer-facing marketing planning materials.
  • Support brand led paid and unpaid sampling initiatives. Develop a thorough understanding of consumer acquisition and CRM opportunities across retailers.
  • Act as point person for seasonal retailer presentations. Work with internal departments on meeting materials, presentation items and meeting agendas/flow. In partnership with Marketing Manager issue recap with retailer feedback and internal action items for follow up.


Qualifications:

Necessary Skills & Experience
  • 2 - 3 years of related Marketing or Trade Marketing experience
  • Branding/Social Media/Beauty/Fashion/Entertainment experience a plus
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills, prioritization ability and follow-up mentality
  • Experience in driving commercial outcomes with social media tools
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence others.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills. Strong ability or comfort in presenting.
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to effectively story tell with data
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent
