Australia Market Lead

We’re looking for an Australia Market Lead to take responsibility of our Australian markets! This is an internal entrepreneur role to take over and build scalable business in ANZ region, including putting together Account Management/Business Development team and working closely with global marketing, talent operations and product development. 

You’ll work at the cutting edge of the online marketing industry — which allows you to learn super fast about growing and nurturing your own target market, managing customer relationships with large ecom and travel advertisers, and scaling the operations of a growth company.

As the Australia Market Lead at Smartly.io, you will

  • Identify the right clients and contacts and build a relationship with them as well as the local Facebook teams and other partners
  • Develop and manage our top customer relationships and drive new sales by managing customer trials
  • Lead the growing regional team of Account Managers
  • Develop vertical expertise (e.g. e-commerce, travel, agencies, mobile apps, etc)
  • Take full ownership of your own target segments, and learn super fast in a quickly evolving industry (check out Miikka’s story)
  • Provide best practices, data insights, and product knowledge to create business solutions for clients
  • Collaborate with customers and product development team to design new product features
  • Work with the nicest and brightest teammates in a flat organisation
  • Have the opportunity to rotate globally between offices for 6-12 months or longer

We are looking for you, if you have

  • Experience and excellent track-record in doing business in Australia
  • Understanding of and connections in the target markets
  • Experience in leading a team and facilitating cross-team cooperation
  • Genuine interest in online marketing and B-to-B sales
  • Experience in sales, especially new business acquisition and online marketing
  • Willingness to push yourself to exceed your goals and and an ability to learn new things quickly
  • Drive to help others succeed around you
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Willingness to travel
  • Analytical and technical mindset
