Sales Planner, Sales Planning and Operations

Position Objective: The main objective of the Sales Planner is to work with internal sales members to develop standout advertising proposals and presentations. The Sales Planner is responsible for all inbound RFP's requiring a formal proposal and to work with the sales team to present the best product solutions to our advertising clients.

  • Experience creating digital proposals that are tailored to each opportunity
  • Ability to quickly become a SmartBrief products expert and think conceptually to offer the best products for each RFP
  • Develop SmartBrief systems knowledge to evaluate proposal requirements and come up with the best pitch based on the clients goals
  • Work with multiple division of SmartBrief to help with the roll-out of new products and help determine best use cases for each product
  • Develop and/or work with design team to create new product collateral, standard RFP templates and PowerPoint decks
  • Strong interpersonal skills, work with Publisher teams to create proposal plans and help present large opportunities with sales by attending client pitch meetings
  • Work alongside sales by attending pre-sale calls, sitting in on meetings and understanding clients goals to develop the best proposal opportunity for each client
  • Understanding of Salesforce.com and the ability to quickly pick up systems knowledge and support the team

Requirements/Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience with an online publisher or advertising/media agency
  • Experience with online RFP technology and Salesforce.com a major plus
  • Bachelor's Degree with a strong academic record
  • Proficiency with a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office
