Digital Ad Trafficker

Job Description:

Position Objective: Ad Operations is a critical, multidisciplinary function that interfaces with every department within SmartBrief as well as directly with our advertisers. The main objective of the Digital Ad Trafficker is the day to day management of advertising campaigns, which includes campaign trafficking, targeting, pacing, optimization, and reporting. The Ad Trafficker position is responsible to receive, review and process advertising campaign material from clients while working closely with the Sales team and the Account Managers, to keep them abreast of any/all campaign changes, delivery concerns, and optimization suggestions.

Essential Duties:

  • Assigned a team of Sales people/industries to support
  • Liaise with clients to secure advertising creative assets and answer ad specification questions in a timely manner
  • Manage campaign process, including requesting creative, tracking pixels and troubleshooting ad issues
  • Upload, test and schedule advertising creative using SmartBrief ad servers to ensure timely start and full delivery of all ad campaigns
  • Troubleshoot ad creative issues that affect tracking, pacing, implementation, and/or reporting
  • Proactively investigate issues (delivery discrepancies, technical issues, etc.) with clients, agencies, third-party platforms, and/or internal parties and provide resolutions to these issues
  • Send welcome emails to new clients detailing campaign requirements, dates and reporting options
  • Send reminder emails for upcoming scheduled ads and final ad previews for client approval
  • Send screenshots to clients once campaigns start
  • Launch SmartBrief publications
  • Build, manage and report on various types of campaigns including CPM, CPL and our 100% SOV section sponsorships
  • Prepare, edit and test HTML code used to deliver ad creative for Dedicated Sends
  • Respond to delivery report requests and provide regular delivery reports (weekly, monthly, and/or upon completion of campaigns) to advertising clients from all ad serving platforms
  • Run ad hoc reporting for internal and external parties upon request
  • Make sure the Sales, Account Managers, and Clients are well informed with current campaign data
  • Partner with Account Managers to maintain advertiser client relationships and their campaigns by providing excellent customer service

  • 0-1 year of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, with focus on PR, Communications, Marketing or Advertising preferred
  • Online advertising/media company or creative agency/publicity firm background strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ad serving technology a strong plus
  • Experience working in HTML a plus
