Partner Account Manager

We are looking for a Partner Account Manager to join our sales team in Tokyo. We seek exceptional talent that is eager to do the best work of their life while supporting others in doing the same. You will be responsible for training, enabling, and supporting Slack partner organizations to successfully sell Slack into their customer base. With your background in direct sales, business development and/or channel sales you will grow Slack’s revenue in Japan by successfully executing on an indirect go-to-market model. Further, you will be responsible for co-selling with partners and managing the pipeline of partner-lead opportunities. Responsibilities 

  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, working with partners on deal identification, qualification, and close
  • Lead opportunities and co-sell with partners to ensure the successful management of enterprise sales opportunities
  • Manage and deliver product and sales enablement programs for our partner organizations' sales team
  • Offer account insights, marketplace knowledge, and sales strategy direction to optimize the marketing and sales efforts of our partners
  • Manage partner relationships to drive revenue growth
  • Build and maintain quarterly business plans with partner executives and sales leaders
  • Collaborate with Slack's product marketing team to develop partner-facing collateral and sales assets to build a scalable, repeatable program
  • Evangelize Slack within the broader ecosystem of users and developers

Requirements 

  • You are fluent in both Japanese and English
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • You have 5+ years working in channel management or channel sales, preferably at a SaaS company
  • You have 2+ years working in a direct sales capacity
  • Experience partnering with senior executives to create and deliver on joint business plans
  • Desire to build a world class channel program
  • You are a self-motivated teammate that can act independently
  • You are flexible, adaptive, and resilient
  • You have a post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
  • Some travel required
  • This is a contract position, requiring eligibility for employment in Japan
