In your new role as a cyber security professional, you will protect our customer’s most sensitive data and complex systems from all forms of threats including cyber-attacks, insider threats, rogue network devices, and malicious software and applications. You will work with a team of like-minded professionals to share and collaborate upon your ideas to improve the cybersecurity infrastructure, architecture, and configuration deployments. This is a contingent position based upon contract win.
Position Details and Responsibilities
- Identify the default/weak configurations, vulnerable ports and insecure protocols.
- identify malicious/suspicious activities and assign them appropriate criticality.
- Create lessons learned from incidents and evaluate the effectiveness of IRP.
- Assist in the yearly IR tests.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Experience in Network Security , Web Application Security and cloud technologies.
- Good knowledge of all the Ports and Protocols.
- Experience in identifying the default/weak configurations, vulnerable ports and insecure protocols.
- Deep understanding of computer intrusion activities, incident response techniques, tools, and procedures.
- Experience with the Enterprise Incident Response Cycle: Preparation, Detection & Analysis, Containment and Recovery, Post Incident Analysis.
- Good knowledge of NIST SP 800-61 and working knowledge in creating RACI charts.
- Experience in identifying Malicious/Suspicious activities and assign them appropriate criticality.
- Experience in escalation procedures.
- Ability to create lessons learned from incidents and evaluate the effectiveness of IRP and improvise the procedures and SOPs accordingly.
- Ability to assist in the yearly IR tests.
- Experience in FireEye technologies, IDS/IPS technologies (Palo Alto), SIEM (Splunk), Vulnerability detection tools like Tenable.
- Good understanding of Operating systems like Windows and Linux.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Experience working at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH)

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package.
Salary at SkyePoint is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work schedule, the candidate’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, market data and business considerations.
