Senior Director, Program Delivery NGWP - REMOTE

Hunt Valley, MD

The Senior Director, NGWP Program Delivery is responsible for leading product management, technical development, and owning the transformational elements of Sinclair Broadcasting Group's Next Generation Wireless Platform (NGWP) program. This program focuses on bringing new market offerings utilizing the ATSC 3.0 technology including enhanced GPS, IOT and other data distribution initiatives.

The core purpose of this role is to provide high level strategic direction, advanced transformational management, and leadership for Sinclair Broadcasting Group's NGWP product development, management and technology services related to ATSC 3.0. You will report into the Chief Technology Officer and collaborate with our executive team to bring this next generation platform to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Product and Technology teams and provide guidance, feedback, and development to foster an engaging, innovative, and productive environment for product management professionals and software engineers and architects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business plans and funding proposals to support product development and sustainability; oversee product management and technology budgets, as well as the team's contracting and vendor management.
  • Provide perspective and expertise to senior management and stakeholders to support decision making and alignment on priorities.
  • Manage the process for strategic and roadmap planning, working with stakeholders from across the company to craft and refine the product's direction and KPIs.
  • Development of various proof of concepts to assist in proving out new technologies and informing the business of their feasibility.
  • Delivers high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions that meet global business requirements and conform to architectural designs and technology strategies
  • Set direction for the product development pipeline to establish long-term product roadmaps, stay abreast of regular related activities and initiatives, and use regular reports to communicate broadly on progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attract, hire, and manage key technical personnel, including an Enterprise Architect, Solutions Architect and additional technical resources.
Requirements:
  • Experience in developing a high-level strategy, detailed transformation planning and product roadmaps to align with Sinclair Broadcasting Group's larger goals and strategy.
  • Proven ability to translate product needs into requirements, lead clear and efficient product road mapping, product planning, prioritization, and an overall product development process.
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary compensation range for this role is $150,000 to $195,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan. P lease note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for Colorado-based hires only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
