Do you love weather? Do you love sharing stories about how weather effects our communities, including how it impacts our changing climate? KUTV seeks a Meteorologist/Producer/Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) to join our weather team. We are looking for someone who can forecast our changing weather, produce weather graphics on television, digital and social media, and cover weather-related stories. Utah is currently experiencing a long-term drought, which has led to challenges for the Great Salt Lake and for our winter sports industry. We want someone who is hungry to share those stories.
The successful candidate must have great organization and time management skills in order to make deadlines on time. Your responsibilities will include reporting, shooting and editing. You will be expected to produce content on a variety of platforms including our website and social networking sites, in addition to television.

Qualifications
• Must have good writing skills and must be able to work well under strict deadline pressure
• The successful candidate will have experience forecasting and presenting weathercasts
• A degree in meteorology, climatology, or atmospheric science is required along with skills in the operation of computerized weather presentation systems, especially WSI
• Bachelor's degree in meteorology or related field
• Proven ability to write news copy and report
Responsibilities
• This is dual role position that includes producing and anchoring weathercasts, special weather programs and webcasts, contributing to the station website, and serving as a multimedia reporter for science-related news coverage
• Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to report, shoot video, edit video, post web stories/pictures/video from both the field and television station
• Duties of this job include live reporting, creative shooting, writing, editing and posting of news stories, both hard news and features
• Maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and solicit original story ideas
• Others duties as assigned
