Marketing Manager - Advertising Sales

Sinclair Media Networks is looking for an experienced advertising sales marketer to help support its rapidly growing and reinvented national television sales division. Responsibilities will focus on four areas:

  1. Develop client-driven promotional presentations for the national sales team
  2. Oversee the execution of SMN's promotional marketing programs when sold to advertisers
  3. Manage newsworthy communications with internal team, agency community and trade press
  4. Spearhead presentation and execution of trade event sponsorships and industry partnerships


Specific Duties include:
  • Deep-dive into target category and brand profiles to create promotional strategies and storylines for client pitches
  • Work closely with sales managers to build creative sales marketing decks that deliver on client/agency objectives while leveraging Sinclair's proprietary assets and capabilities
  • Coordinate fulfillment of sold promotional programs and sponsorships with all related broadcast, digital and creative services groups inside Sinclair as well as with external participating vendors
  • Partner with team to help develop ongoing collateral materials
  • Manage the development of new client-facing website and serve as Editor-in-Chief of all interactive content once launched
  • Supervise external communications from email marketing and newsletters to social media and mobile messaging
  • Assist in building and assessing trend analyses from company, industry and consumer research to us team discover powerful insights to further brand storytelling
  • Work with advertising and trade communications partners to coordinate event participation. This includes coordinating sponsorship requirements, securing speakers, providing network signage and booking/creating brand advertising

Required Skills
Qualifications/Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years working in television sales marketing or video-related industries.
  • Experience and knowledge of digital, mobile and/or OTT marketing a plus
  • Significant experience generating high level, professional sales presentations
  • Active participation in brainstorming sessions/contributing ideas to enhance evergreen and client-driven concepts (RFP examples helpful)
  • Strong ability to interact with senior level management, internally and externally
  • Strong background managing multiple business projects within deadline
  • Strong business writing and oral communication skills as well as organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, Word skills. Needs include presentation decks, animation, charts, graphs, one-sheets
