The on-air Junior Preditor will support the Director of Creative Services in all aspects of creating and executing the overall creative "look and feel" of the Emerging Network channels across the company and on all platforms.


  • Work with Director of Creative Services on key messaging, strategy, planning and execution of all on and off-air elements of the Emerging Networks
  • Create, write, edit and produce all aspects of on-air spots that are on schedule, on budget and on brand
  • Be keenly aware of delivery/tech specs and schedules for on-air spot delivery
  • Create marketing presentations, internal tapes plus ad and affiliate sizzle reels as needed
  • Liaise with internal Sinclair departments to utilize available resources to create TV spots
  • Direct VO talent as needed
  • Incorporate graphics into spot production
  • Supervise audio and final mix
  • Participate in brainstorm sessions
  • Produce special projects as assigned
  • 3+ years of relevant television experience for example, broadcast station, cable network, multicast network or studio
  • Proficient in Avid, Final Cut (or) Premiere, Word & Excel
  • Solid organizational skills and a sense of urgency
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Outgoing, fun and positive attitude
  • Extensive experience in shooting and scripting of both short and long form spots
  • Ability to write, shoot and edit content that tells a compelling story
  • A strong understanding of fundamental design, sense of color, typography and composition
  • Working knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of the post-production process, including media management and encoding video to various formats is a plus
  • Ability to maintain a variety of projects and work with varying production styles while employing strong client service skills
  • Knowledge of High-definition (HD) cameras and videography, motion graphics and creative lighting techniques
  • Ability to maintain digital assets, archives and edit systems
  • Non-linear editing experience (Adobe Premier non-linear editing experience is a must)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
