KMPH/Fox26 News is looking for an experienced reporter for our weekday morning show. If you are a morning person with a great personality and strong storytelling skills then this is a great opportunity for you! We want someone who has the energy and creativity to do compelling live shots for five hours of live morning news each weekday. Our morning reporters are also expected to turn packages for later newscasts and provide daily social media content.

  • Must be an excellent story teller
  • Must be creative
  • A strong writer and a good communicator
  • Possess great live skills
  • Have solid news judgement
  • The ability to go from light news to breaking news at any given time
  • Must have a minimum of two-years of experience as a reporter at a network-affiliate TV station news department
The candidates must be able to show work samples that demonstrate the ability to do live, interactive and engaging, news stories. 90% of this position will be live reports, making each look decidedly different from the previous one, and forwarding and advancing stories through a five-hour news block. We value storytelling done by active use of a live scene and excellent selection of interview subjects.
