WKRC TV in Cincinnati, OH is currently seeking INTERNS interested in gaining hands-on experience in the fields of event planning, marketing and news. Student interns must be enrolled as a junior or senior in a Marketing, Broadcast Journalism, Television/Radio, Communication, Graphic Design or comparable curriculum. The internship program is open to students enrolled in an accredited college or university and college credit must be received for participation.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a career in marketing, events and/or the communications field. Candidate must be energetic, a team player, results-oriented and dedicated to the achievement of personal and team goals. This internship requires a candidate with confidence in interpersonal communication, excellent organizational skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure and take direction. The Integrated Marketing Intern's primary role will be to support the Events/Promotions Coordinator in all aspects of event planning and marketing.
The Integrated Marketing Intern's specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Help in planning and implementing events;
- Assist with day-of-event tasks and management;
- Be available outside of business hours;
- Differentiating between office work and event work;
- Various logistics & tasks before the event;
- Attend recap meetings;
- Help with the promotion of the events;
- Other duties as assigned.
Duration: Fall 2017 (August to December)
Hours: Schedule is flexible, but must be able to commit to at least 10 hours per week.
