Sinclair Media Group / 7News On Your Side is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Advertising Sales Consultant who will meet and exceed revenue goals by designing creative client campaigns that drive desired business results. The ideal consultant will identify which of our audience reach tactics (Connected TV, Social Media Outreach, Search, Broadcast TV, Display) make the most sense, then create targeted advertising campaigns that connect our clients with their next customers. We are looking for someone who can engage with business leaders and help them achieve their revenue growth objectives through strategic video & digital advertising.
In this position, you will:
- Generate revenue for the station and meet monthly goals through strategic outreach and business development
- Develop new business and generate results for clients through creative and effective targeted campaigns
- Research and build campaign solutions, including promotional strategy and advising on creative assets (Video, Display, Etc), then ensuring campaign execution meets client expectation
- Establish trusting relationships with clients, community and internal Sinclair stakeholders. Meet all commitments through preparation, delivery, and follow-through
- Meet or exceed revenue targets for existing, new, and digital business, as well as corporate initiatives. Develop a strategy to support achievement of goals
- Grow share of clients' advertising spend while increasing their overall spend
- Support quality deliverables to drive client results
- Support collection of receivables
- Build and enhance sales skills to include effective storytelling, prospecting and relationship-building, negotiation, closing
- A true desire to deliver client success
- Passion for contributing to a sales team with a positive mindset
- Superior business acumen related to digital, social, and video advertising
- Driven by results. Enjoys opportunities to learn and assist others
- Effective at building relationships, customer service, communication, and negotiation
- Media sales experience preferred and an excellent understanding of video-driven marketing, media plans and the competitive marketplace
- Resilient personality. Ability to push through "no" to get to "yes"
- Ability to effectively communicate, build rapport and relate well to all kinds of people
- Professional appearance a must
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and a satisfactory driving record
