SiemensHealthcare Diagnostics, Point of Care (POC) business unit seeks a senior-levelGraphical User Interface Designer with experience managing GUI developmentprojects. The Sr. GUI designerwill be responsible for leading the GUI design and development for one of ourkey programs and will be responsible for defining and managing the GUI look& feel, standards and guidelines for all user interfaces across entire DXPOC business unit. In this position the Sr. GUI designer will be responsible toresearch and understand the needs of the user, apply a user centered designprocess to define requirements, write use cases, generate GUI concepts,workflows, prototypes, define the visual language, design graphic elementscollaborating with key functions such as marketing, engineering, software andother UXD team members to ensure GUI development for the program. The Sr. GUIdesigner should be able to lead and execute user centered design activitiessuch as usability testing, design reviews, status meetings. The candidateshould have a strong understanding of User Experience, user centered design ina regulated environment, preferably in the medical device industry.

Requirements.

Strong interaction design, informationarchitecture and visual design expertise with the ability and experience to driveprojects from inception to completion, manage external design agencies.

    • Experience in researching user needs,conducting workflow analysis, and developing user interface requirements, createscompelling visual designs and graphic elements. Should be able to define thestandards for all GUI development across the BU and should have experiencewriting style guides.
    • Strong interaction design, informationarchitecture and visual design expertise with the ability and experience to driveprojects from inception to completion, manage external design agencies.
    • Experience in researching user needs,conducting workflow analysis, and developing user interface requirements, createscompelling visual designs and graphic elements. Should be able to define thestandards for all GUI development across the BU and should have experiencewriting style guides.
    • Able to lead andcollaborate with cross functional team members to create diverse concepts, arange of screen layouts, visual designs, storyboards, prototypes, and GUIspecifications. Must have experience with documenting, organizing andtransferring design assets and specifications to software development.
    • Must possess a strong understanding ofsoftware technologies and platforms for smartphones, tablets, laptops,workstations, and embedded displays on medical devices.
    • Collaborative decision maker with strongcommunication and project management skills, ability to multi-task and lead.
    • Bachelor's Degree in HCI, UserExperience Design, Interaction or Visual Design or equivalent. Master's degree aplus.
    • Well versed in newtechnologies and approaches in the Interaction Design / User Interface Designfield.
    • 8+ years in the field ofUser Experience, GUI development. A strong portfolio a must.
    • Prototyping skills are aplus. Experience designing medical device GUI's is a plus.
    • Master's degree aplus.
    • Travel up to 5%

The pay range for thisposition is $109,928- $151,151 annually applies to candidates hired in the US only; however, base pay offered may varydepending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
