We at Siemens Advanta Slovakia develop systemsfor intelligent buildings. We create monitoring and management systems that increasesecurity and protect property, improve comfort for building occupants,streamline overall operations and reduce energy consumption.

Your responsibilities

• Developand provide state of the art device concepts and features for today's andfuture building automation solutions (Programmable controller, Panel, IoT,Edge, ...).

• Secure communicationincl. cloud connections

• Signed FirmwareUpdate and secure boot

• Device monitoringand remote diagnostic/management

• Extension andimprovement of the CI/CD build pipeline based on the latest Yocto conceptswith strong quality focus (Lava) to provide a release at any time.

• Working in anagile development environment while following Scrum and SAFe principles

• Proactive andclose collaboration with our global colleagues across several continents

• Contribute toopen source as well as to our large inner source communities, open mindset likeupstream first, foster teamwork and further develop your area of responsibility

Your skillsand experience

• Engineeringuniversity degree (electronics, computer science or comparable)

• Experience withtechnologies such as Yocto/OpenEmbedded, Linux administration andhardening, container technologies (OCI) and their underlying constructslike cgroups and runC, IoT and web protocols such as WebSockets or MQTT

• In-depthknowledge and tracking latest trends of product design for embedded devicesbased on Linux and OSS

• Motivating andproactive personality with self-responsible and results-oriented workingmethods.

• We are lookingfor a mid-level person with up to five years of dedicated Linux experience,preferably from an embedded environment

• Advancedlevel in English; sound German skills are highly beneficial in this role
Required education, skills and personalityrequirements
Secondary with school-leaving examination

Language skills
English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Other knowledge
UNIX/Linux - advanced

Salary from 2 300 EUR brutto/month + variable bonus
The salary depends on the experience and seniority of the candidate and is thesubject of a partnership agreement during the selection process.
