What will you do?

Include writing software participating actively in development projects both hardware and software component selection and developing technology for future products

You will be part of a small team and play an integral role in bringing advanced telecommunications products to market.

What will you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years of experience developing software for embedded applications
  • Has an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Mathematics or related disciplines
  • C/C++ programming for embedded systems and hands-on development skills using Linux or similar OS
  • Experience with Embedded Operating Systems (VxWorks, uC/OS, pSOS, Linux etc.)
  • Understanding of OS thread scheduling (RTOS and Linux) and IPC
  • Experience with Real-Time Linux solutions, such as PREEMPT_RT or Xenomai
  • Prior experience in developing forwarding software for a router/switch platform based on Marvell and/or Broadcom switch ASICs and SDK
  • Ethernet technology (MAC and Physical layers), Ethernet switching and IP routing
  • Layer 2/3 switch-fabrics (Marvel and/or Broadcom ASIC, PHY, MDIO interface)
  • Debugging and optimization of control-path and data-path execution flows.

Additional "nice to have" strengths in the following areas:

  • Experience with L2 switching and/or L3 forwarding and routing protocols
  • Layer 2 LAN protocols RSTP, IEEE 802.1X, IGMP, GVRP, VLAN
  • Knowledgeable with standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP, ICMP, UDP, GRE, etc.,
  • Object oriented design experience
