Position Overview:

The exciting, fast growing Digital Industry software division of Siemens is actively recruiting Product Architects for our Professional Services IES (Integrated Electrical Solutions) team. The IES team focuses on working alongside customers to specify, implement and deploy Capital-based solutions to meet the customer's wiring and harness design and manufacturing process needs.

As a Siemens Product Architect, you are a technical resource defining and implementing the solution while building strong relationships with customers and helping them realize their industry vision. This position requires excellent skills in interpersonal communications, technical leadership, process improvement, as well as configuration and customization of software.

As part of the Professional Services team, you will work with Consultants, Solution Architects, Project Managers, Industry Experts and Product Development teams to ensure project and customer success.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and demonstrate how Siemens professional services team will impact and integrate with customers' initiatives, business drivers, value and impact.
  • Leverage industry best practices and templates for the Siemens Software solution delivered to provide customer value.
  • Lead the architectural design area of one or many product domain solutions to address the customers' business requirements.
  • Understand customers' goals and objectives in order to identify what change initiatives are needed for the customer to be more efficient and productive.
  • Translate business requirements into specific solutions, applications or process designs for moderately complex projects.
  • Support project management activities to control scope, cost, schedule and quality.
  • Communicate project processes, progress by interacting with the customer to support customer expectations and support customer adoption.
  • Make technical recommendations and implement overall system design of the solution.

Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Work with customers and Siemens personnel to define and document recommended deployment plans utilizing the Capital tool suite
  • Deploy Capital tool suite: Execute and manage deployment projects at customer's site according to the agreed-upon deployment plan with constant communication and coordination with customers, consulting management, sales team and SW engineering.
  • Translate business requirements into specific solutions, applications or process designs for moderately complex projects.
  • Configure the Capital tools to support customer's requirements
  • Providing technical assistance to customers including technical problem solving with Capital installation, features, and usage.
  • Make technical recommendations and implement overall system design of the solution.
  • Multiple years working in a customer-facing experience in professional services with related soft skills
  • Self-managed; strong communication skills (written and oral); leadership of a small team
  • Good communication skills at various levels throughout an organization.
  • Located at/near customer facility and/or willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) skills - Intermediate
  • Deliver technical workshops as determined in deployment projects
  • Customize Capital per customer requirements using the product API
  • Assist consulting management and account managers in determining incremental sales opportunities (services & products) and strategy leveraged by the successful deployment project
  • Communicate customer technical requirements to product marketing
  • Support project management activities to control scope, cost, schedule and quality.
  • Communicate project processes, progress by interacting with the customer to support customer expectations and support customer adoption.

Required experience:

  • Knowledge configuring the Capital tools (admin & project tools)
  • Experience working with Capital Library and making part updates
  • Experience working with Capital Design tools (Logic, HarnessXC) and making design updates. Highly preferred - someone with an engineering background who can identify discrepancies/problems in design data.
  • Knowledge of delivery frameworks and methodologies for a Professional Services organization. Experience in leading team members throughout the phases of software implementation projects including definition, installation, configuration, testing, deployment and post-production support.
  • Familiarity with Capital out-of-the-box reports
  • Minimum five years of experience with Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) tools, best practices, and standards.
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Technology or equivalent experience.

Preferred experience:

  • Experience with PLM tools - ideally Siemens Teamcenter
  • Experience with CAD tools - ideally NX, CATIA, CREO etc.
  • Programming skills - ideally Java & knowledge of 'Capital API'

The total cash compensation range for this position is $101,000 to $202,000 with 7.5% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
