Siemens Smart Infrastructure are seeking an innovative and future focused Business Development Manager (Software/Tech/IOT) to join our newly formed UK&IE Grid Software sales team.

We are looking for someone who thinks with a digital first mindset and can unlock doors with customers across the UK&IE. You will help continue our growth in this exciting market selling our phenomenal Software as a Service (SaaS)products and solutions, supporting our division head in shaping our direction.

In this role, you will build an outstanding and intimate network across our broad range of customers, such as DNO's, energy retailers, industrial clients and leading solution providers offering campus, e-mobility, and industrial energy management SaaS solutions.

You must be able to demonstrate significant entrepreneurial business development/networking successes with the ability to navigate your way across a host of digital platforms, creating sales opportunities.

  • Establish strong CxO/ Decision Maker network across targeted market segmentation
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and account development plans for retention and growth; securing challenging order intake results that meet and exceed business objectives
  • Establish multiple channels for the respective products and solutions to maximise the impact of the role and develop complementary go-to-market materials
  • Be entrepreneurial, whilst developing a culture of continuous improvement, providing coaching and guidance to other complimentary areas of the Smart Infrastructure organisation
  • Provide customer escalation point for ongoing support and dispute resolution
  • Manage contract lifecycle, extension, and renewals with a clear focus on recurring revenue. Including offer preparation, pricing approvals and final negotiation
  • Working in close collaboration with numerous internal stakeholders throughout the Siemens business to ensure aligned market messaging and sustainable business growth via key channels

We are looking for a customer obsessed sales professional with extensive knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS), Digital and technology Sales fundamentals, with the ability to map our potential customers using digital tools and influence.

You will understand the IoT market and key drivers and associated technology and vendor players and enjoy working in a virtual and dynamic environment.

Ideally, experience in channel selling and partner management and have an experience delivering innovative solutions and sales proposals.

If you enjoy selling, working cross functionally, have an appetite in IoT consulting, digital business, and digital change then this could be the role for you!
