Mentor, a Siemens business, is seeking highly motivated, responsible and self-starting Application Engineer to join our forward thinking team in Oulu.
As the Application Engineer you shall become a domain specialist in the practical use of Mentor X-STEP products.
Understand most product features and used protocols, installation and application of each product, and how to solve most typical problems.
Help customers learn the product and provide information and technical support that customers need in their work.
You will also assist sales personnel and account managers in their communication to customers. Digest customer feedback own experiences into improvement ideas and new features for product development!
Rather than being a specialist in one field, the chosen candidate will need basic knowledge of a wide range of topics, including C++ and scripting languages, embedded systems, FPGA/ASIC designs, computer networking, and Linux usage.
Previous experience in radio base station systems or knowledge of relevant protocols (such as O-RAN, CPRI, JESD204, Ethernet) are considered a huge plus; these skills will be developed during the first year on the job.
You will also work closely with our domestic and international customers, we look for a positive, initiative person with strong language and phenomenal teammate skills.
