Marketing Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled resource in the realms of marketing automation and digital marketing. As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you will play a critical role in the lead generation stage of the sales process and ultimately driving revenue increases for the organization.

You will report to the Director of Marketing and work on a team of professionals responsible for content creation, graphics design, social media, segment marketing, sales management and more. Qualified candidates will have experience with marketing automation software (Eloqua a plus) and executing on digital marketing campaigns. Most importantly, candidates shall act in accordance with The SICK Way and bring a collaborative, positive, results oriented approach to the organization.


  • Responsible for leveraging marketing automation software to execute on digital campaigns resulting with increased lead generation and customer retention. Activities include, but are not limited to:
    • Producing and implementing multi-channel automated campaigns. Examples are e-mail campaigns, welcome campaigns, follow up campaigns and more.
    • Creating the digital assets needed to execute on campaigns (landing pages, forms, etc.)
    • Successfully executing campaigns to SICK's focus segments through collaboration with Segment Marketing Managers.
    • Maintaining expertise and understanding the latest marketing automation best practices then implementing to the local market.
    • Integrating with CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) where possible
  • Develop insightful reporting metrics on digital campaigns. Track performance of campaigns to measure success and incorporate learnings in future campaigns.
  • Execute and bring ideas for new digital marketing activities such as geo-fencing, remarketing, lead nurturing and more. Manage relationships with outside parties as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining local content on the global website. Partner with SICK AG headquarters in Germany to ensure local webpages are in accordance with corporate guidelines. Track, report on and analyze website analytics.
  • Collaborate with Content Marketing Specialist, Segment Marketing Managers, Sales Management, IT, HR and other functions to ensure all related sites meet the business needs of the organization.
  • Support Social Media Specialist on the analysis of the corporate blog and all social media channels for SICK.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness.QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing communications, information technology, computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 year experience within the field of digital marketing or related
  • Experience with Eloqua platform.
  • Experience with Adobe Omniture.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Requires self-direction, tack, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with peers, customers, and vendors.
  • Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
  • Ability and willingness to work alternative schedules including weekends, as necessary
