Accounting Clerk II

With limited supervision, this position has primary responsibility for performing a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial areas.

• Reconcile bank accounts, post information, and balance general or subsidiary ledgers, process payments, and compile segments of monthly closing, annual reports, etc.
• Contact other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems. Research and resolve vendor discrepancies and disputes.
• Process invoices using three way matching.
• Ensure all invoices are entered before month-end close.
• Match checks with supporting documentations, mail checks, scan all documents, and verify they are scanned.
• Review and process purchasing card statements associated with documentation and payments.
• Select invoices to pay and generate checks.
• Reconcile Parent Payable balances on monthly basis.
• Reconcile open receipts.
• Monitor fixed assets; assign numbers, document, and gather costs, finalize process and process' invoice.
• Accrue for temporary staffing hours and un-posted invoices at month end.
• Enter timesheets for temp agency submission for production and warehouse.
• Manage multiple spreadsheets including temp staffing and phone bills.
• Assist with the tax general ledgers and filing capital refunds.
• Train other accounting clerks as assigned.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.

Education and Experience:
• Associates degree in accounting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting clerk role.
Other Qualifications:
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good problem solving skills and ability to prioritize.
• Willing to step in and work with a team.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet applications.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Able and willingness to work alternative schedules as needed.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Able to work in a general office environment.
