UX Marketing Designer, Shopify Plus

Shopify Plus’ mission is to make commerce simple for high-volume companies like Tesla, RedBull, GE, L’Oreal, Mondelez, Kanye West, Subway, UPS and many more. We believe enterprise merchants should love their commerce platform and we work hard each day to make that happen. We’re in hyper-growth mode, and that’s where you come in!

We’re looking for a designer to own the creative direction of our brand through our website. Working closely with our marketing team, you’ll set the direction for and design best-in-class and engaging user experiences - from landing pages to marketing campaigns, and all other brand collateral. Ideally, you'll draw on past online and brand design experience to build out incredible and beautiful creative.

You'll need to have:

  • A love for all things brand -- how it can best be expressed online and how to evolve and build it over time
  • A keen eye for good design, and attention to detail
  • Passion for unpacking and solving complex problems
  • A soft spot for the end user -- advocating for them in all areas of your work is core to what you do.
  • A distaste for lorem ipsum -- caring about getting the copy right needs to be a priority
  • An understanding that great experiences come from collaborative decision-making with front-end developers, engineers, researchers, content strategists, and other disciplines
  • The desire to drive creative through an end to end UX process, including research, ideation and iteration
  • Knowledge of user research techniques and resources such as A/B testing or Google Analytics, and how to incorporate them into the design process

  • Designing online and/or offline marketing experiences
  • Creating information architecture and writing content(bonus)
  • Working with enterprise-size merchants(bonus) Identifying growth tactics that fall within brand

The right person for the job can:

  • Move fast (and change even faster)
  • You’ll adjust quickly to shifting approaches, situations, and priorities.
  • You’ll prioritize simultaneous project requests from various teams.

Here's how to apply:

If you’re interested in helping us shape the future of commerce, click the “Apply now” button to submit your application. Include a few samples of your work: portfolio, wireframes, UX flows, publications, or whatever represents what you do best.

If you really want to stand out, sign up for a free trial of Shopify and build a store. (Don't spend anymore than 20mins on this) - it's meant to get you familiar with the product, not to build a professional looking store). Add the link to your store in the last field below.

Thanks for your interest in working at Shopify! Please be patient with us as we're also taking a much needed break over the holiday season. It may take us time through the month of January to respond to your application.

Experience comes in many forms, many skills are transferable, and passion goes a long way! If your background is this close to what we’re looking for, please consider applying, even if you aren’t able to check every box above. We are dedicated to diversity and providing an inclusive workplace for all and especially encourage members of underrepresented groups to apply.
