What you'll do

  • Design, implement and improve critical systems and components powering ServiceTitan backend
  • Improve the availability, reliability, and performance of our products
  • Build tools to increase efficiency of all our engineers
  • Identify opportunities to extract or develop systems beneficial for multiple teams
  • Improve the security of our systems
  • Communicate effectively with other engineers
  • The position requires 24x7 availability for support and after hours work in order to support the availability and uptime requirements of the business
What you'll need
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • 3+ year of experience with:
    • Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web API's) and Powershell 
    • Basic Microsoft Windows administration skills including IIS administration 
    • Microsoft SQL Server administration including Always ON Availability groups 
    • Performance / reliability monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic, DataDog, Application Insights) 
    • Log / Metric collection and analysis tools (e.g. Elasticsearch-Logstash-Kibana, DataDog, Interana) 
    • Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, Visual Studio, JIRA and other tools that are typically used by developers on Microsoft technology stack 
    • Continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies and tools (TeamCity or similar)  
    • Administration and building automation for Azure, AWS or other public cloud technology
  • Ability to use data-driven approach for decisions
  • Experience with PowerShell / Windows scripting
  • Experience with Linux
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Basic Linux administration is a plus
  • Windows Cluster administration is a plus
  • Redis administration is a plus 
  • HAProxy administration is a plus
