Business Systems Analyst

Founded in 2009, SendGrid is an industry-disrupting, cloud-based customer communication platform that solves the challenges of reliably delivering emails on behalf of our customers.  We deliver over 30 billion emails a month for customers like Airbnb, Spotify, and Uber.

The Business Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in the administration, configuration, requirements gathering and development of our core back-office business systems and enterprise data operations.  This role is responsible for translating business requirements into system solution designs as well as acting as a liaison between the end user community (employees) and the Enterprise Data Operations team. You will work closely with all aspects of the business striving to support end-users to define and implement data requirements into our Enterprise Data Warehouse.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and administer multiple business applications - including Salesforce CRM, Zendesk, Marketo, and Zuora
  • Business process design and documentation
  • Data requirements design and documentation
  • Implement processes and requirements into business critical business systems
  • Improve existing systems and processes by understanding current practices and designing modifications
  • Assist users with report and dashboard design and management
  • Develop and maintain validation rules, custom workflow, and approval processes
  • Support business users with researching and recommending additional 3rd party solutions and applications
  • Improve and maintain user adoption through best practices and end user training
  • Create an environment and toolset that supports the goals of creating a full view of the customer and improving user efficiency
  • Defect / Issue tracking and troubleshooting
  • Ongoing vendor selection and management
  • Support 3rd party and internal platform integrations
  • Data Quality Management best practices and maintenance

About You

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or computer science
  • 2-5 years of system support experience, obtaining business requirements, documentation, business roadmap support and CRM process improvement - Certified Salesforce Administrator or Developer preferred
  • Experience with enterprise sales, support, and marketing automation platforms
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, i.e. Looker, a plus
  • Creative problem solver with an aptitude for delivering customer-centric solutions
  • Passionate about learning new technologies
  • Ability to manage and work on multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical teams and business users across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required
  • Advanced office software skills - such as MS Visio, Excel, Word or equivalent tools
