Overview:

SelectQuote Senior is looking for a Licensing Specialist I to join our team in Overland Park, KS for the upcoming Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) selling season. As a Licensing Specialist I, you will be responsible for the company-wide licensing and contracting of employees so that they may market insurance products. This position plays a key role within the organization by ensuring compliance with ever-changing local and federal regulations, adding new appointments to meet department and organizational goals, and maintaining agent documentation within the licensing system including updating licenses, addresses and appointments.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses excellent communication skills with a demonstrated drive for personal success.

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate with applicants, state agencies, carriers, and sales management to ensure timely and efficient license acquisition.
  • Maintain records, compile information, and submit requisite forms in order to keep agents licensed and ready-to-sell.
  • Become subject matter expert for all of the different state licenses by leveraging state documents and/or insurance websites.
  • Ensure agents remain in compliance with organizational policies and government regulations.
  • Provide consistent high-level of customer service to both internal departments and external carrier partners.
  • Quickly adapt to new state regulations and carrier requirements.
  • Consume, maintain, and organize data from various external partners.
  • Become familiar with, and service agent accounts using, licensing software (Sircon Producer Manager, SureLC, etc.).

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform additional ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time by supervisors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new information and apply knowledge learned.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear and concise manner.
  • High level of self-motivation; ability to accomplish goals and meet deadlines independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize various assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet goals, deadlines, and department standards for quality and productivity.
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required.

Training and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Four-year college degree preferred.
