Social Worker I/II- Hematology Oncology Services (0.60 FTE, Day)

The Social Work Department at Seattle Children's Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic experienced social worker. The clinician will join a team of social workers assigned to the Medical Center's Hematology - Oncology Service. The selected candidate will collaborate with the medical team to assist with care planning. . He or she will also assist in the promotion of culturally appropriate family-centered care and wellness of patients and families. The social worker will provide supportive services that focus on: psychosocial needs, health education, and behavioral health concerns. She / he will also assume a leadership role in protective services.

Requirements

Seeking either a Social Worker I or II.


Social Worker I

Required Education/Experience:
-Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Counsel on Social Work Education
-Ability and flexibility to work evening, night, weekend shifts, and holidays as well as provide on-call coverage.

Required Credentials:
-Currently Licensed in Washington State as a Licensed Social Work Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC).

Preferred:
-Current clinical social work experience in acute healthcare settings.
-Current clinical social work experience in working with children and families in acute care settings and dealing with all aspects of care including but not limited to crisis intervention, protective services, and mental health
-Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with multicultural/diverse patients
-Multidisciplinary team experience
-Multilingual


Social Worker II

Required Education/Experience:
-Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Counsel on Social Work Education.
-A minimum of 4 years of current clinical social work experience in an acute care setting (may include internship hours).
-Ability and flexibility to work evening, night, weekend shifts, and holidays as well as provide on-call coverage.

Required Credentials:
-Currently licensed in Washington State as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

Preferred:
-Current clinical social work experience in acute healthcare settings.
-Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with multicultural/diverse patients. -Multidisciplinary team experience.
-Multilingual.
