Research Technician I

External Description

A full-time research technician position is available at Seattle Children’s Research Institute!  We are looking for a self-motivated and dedicated individual with interests in gene therapy, molecular biology, and immunology for projects involving the development of novel gene therapy strategies for hemophilia.  The research efforts involve a broad range of experimental techniques including PCR, molecular cloning, cell culture, biochemical assays, ultrasound, imaging, and mouse and large animal studies.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in bioengineering, biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc. OR college-level coursework in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or in a related science curriculum AND equivalent lab experience.

Required Credentials:
- N/A

Preferred Experience:
- Cloning, cell culture, mouse handling, ultrasound, imaging, gene transfer, large animal studies, and bioassays
