External Description
Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using fixed and portable radiographic equipment. Adjust and control complex diagnostic equipment to optimally image and present the area(s) of interest. Maintain general condition and readiness of the work area. Applies ionizing radiation only at the direction of a licensed practitioner and does not perform parenteral procedures.
Requirements
Required Education/Experience:
Actively enrolled in or graduated from an accredited Radiology Technology academic program Required Credentials:
Current Washington State Registered X-ray Technician
Upon successful completion of technologist academic program becomes ARRT-R eligible with completion and acquisition of ARRT & WA State Certification within 6 months

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers This position is for someone actively enrolled in the academic program and can continue working roughly up to 6 months while they take their exam for ARRT-R and WA state certification.
Preferred: - ARRT-R registered - Current BLS certification with the ability to perform CPR Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Able to communicate verbally in English. - Able to numerate and to place numbers and letter sequences in logical numeric or alphabetic order. - Able to operate radiographic and processing equipment dials, keys and controls, PCs bar code devices, and printers to image patient conditions, maintain patient records and inventory levels, and perform billing functions within protocol. - Able to perform in critical, stressful situations. - Able to read and understand English sufficiently to assimilate information and to act accordingly and with appropriate speed within protocol. - Good communication/interpersonal skills.
