Laboratory Services Coordinator

External Description

Provide timely, effective, and thorough service to laboratory referral sources, hospital staff, patient families, and others based on Children’s service standards; facilitate flow of samples and information to and from reference laboratories; fulfill laboratory’s revenue cycle-related requirements for optimal reimbursement and compliant billing; serve as a resource for community service operations, sendouts testing, laboratory revenue cycle activities, and customer service; participate in process improvement efforts aimed at improving flow of laboratory services.


Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field; or
- College level science coursework with at least 5 years clinical laboratory experience

Required Credentials:
- N/A

-At least 5 years experience with clinical laboratory sample processing, sendouts, and/or registration
-Two (2) years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting
