Health Information Analyst
Provide a variety of analysis and support functions including troubleshooting, user training, assistance and orientation, developing, testing and implementing new or upgraded applications and ensuring data integrity of systems and integration with other applications across Children's. Work closely with customers, leadership and other stakeholders to identify needs, develop recommended approaches, and to ensure successful operation of systems to meet departmental and organizational needs. In addition, this position is responsible for identifying, verifying, and merging duplicate patient medical record numbers and patient name changes in accordance with Seattle Children's policies and guidelines to ensure patient safety and Master Patient Index integrity. Communicates with Seattle Children's staff and affiliate organizations to ensure accuracy of information and coordinate MPI changes across the enterprise.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university OR at least two years' college coursework in the Medical/Health Record, Health Information Technology, Health Information Administration, or related field.
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) OR ability to obtain within six (6) months of transfer/hire.
- Experience in medical record or information technology.
- Previous experience with patient medical records and computerized records in either Epic or Cerner.
