Director, Population Health, Clinical and Financial Analytics
Provides leadership and advocacy to create use and hardwire knowledge and intelligence intended to support the Seattle Children's Care Network (SCCN) and Seattle Children's Hospital Accountable Care value-based care transformation. Develop, select and evaluate the appropriate selection of technology tools and supporting data and analytics support infrastructure and associated population health analysis that enable SCCN to drive improvements in quality and cost for its value based contracts. Responsible for the transformation of clinical and population data into actionable information and to assess the effectiveness data use within SCCN and measure the performance impact of value-based payment arrangements. Provide insights to improve the management of health care utilization and costs based on knowledge of population health and clinical outcomes. Measure and evaluate quality performance, provider practice patterns and variations, and create reporting trends and forecasting models. Serves as a subject matter expert in current population health analytics and information technology tools, and maintains and disseminates trends and emerging thinking in the field of Population Health data and analytics and information technology Provides the analytics leadership and subject matter expertise to SCCN and Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH) for population health based clinical and financial transformation initiatives. Ensure alignment with SCH information services (IS) to establish and maintain clinical and financial business intelligence infrastructure and processes to support analytics. Architects and manages the SCCN analytics team and collaborates with other key SCH analytics teams, clinical quality, finance, and IS to develop the culture, skills and tools required for population health based data analytics across the SCCN organized system of care (OSC). Develops and directs clinical and financial analytics in support of transforming care and driving value (including patient and physician experience) in the SCCN Value Based payment and incentive programs. The position partners and aligns with leadership of the SCH, CUMG, and SCCN primary care pediatric practices, as well as SCH strategic planning, finance, quality and information services.
- Master's Degree or higher in health informatics, biostatistics, health services administration, computer science or related field.
- 7 years of progressively more responsible healthcare analytics experience in a provider organization, managed care organization or similar environment, including experience working at an executive level.
