We are giving educators all the tools they need to more easily personalize education and improve student outcomes, but in a way that works easily with their current systems and teaching approach. We’ve evolved the traditional learning management system into an education cloud: a platform that connects the people, content, and systems that fuel education.

Working at Schoology offers you a chance to help solve the most important challenges in education in an environment that’s fun, collaborative and innovative. We are looking for smart, creative individuals who are passionate about education and aren't afraid to show it.

What we're looking for:

We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior User Experience (UI/UX) Designer with a passion for solving problems and creating engaging experiences. You’ll have strong conceptual thinking skills and ability to understand customer needs, motivations, and behaviors and how to translate them into interfaces. You’ll also have experience in creating information architecture and solving complex workflows for a variety of audiences. You'll have at least four years of experience designing dynamic experiences and a proven record of meeting user and business goals.

What you'll do:

We want you to be a driving force in gathering insight into our users’ needs, behaviors and intentions by conducting user research and include the user at every step of the process.

You’ll work quickly and iteratively with Product and Engineering to create innovative interface designs for new features and improvements of our award-winning, rapidly growing application that enhances how teachers teach and how students learn.

You'll also:

  • Develop detailed concepts, prototypes, and UX patterns to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Articulate the strategy behind your work and map decisions to specific objectives.
  • Design consistent experiences across multiple devices.
  • Help develop new processes to optimize the role of design within the organization.

Bonus points for:

  • In depth user research experience.
  • Any responsive design experience.

To apply:

Please send your resume along with your portfolio detailing your specific input on design for each product/project presented.  We should be able to recognize your design sense, your UX reasoning and your project presentation should be clear.

At Schoology, we are continuously advancing what is possible in education.  You in?
