System Test Engineering - Instrumentation Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified NI LabVIEW Expert with deep expertise in Data Acquisition (DAQ), Automated Test Equipment (ATE), and Test Bench Development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with real-time systems, FPGA programming, and industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and CAN. A Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW-based applications for data acquisition, control, and automated testing.
  • Develop and integrate test benches and automated test equipment (ATE) for R&D and production environments.
  • Implement real-time and FPGA-based solutions using NI hardware (cRIO, PXI, sbRIO, etc.).
  • Utilize LabVIEW Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for scalable and modular software architecture.
  • Interface with industrial communication protocols including Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, and others.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure robust system integration.
  • Perform system validation, troubleshooting, and optimization of test systems.
  • Document software architecture, test procedures, and user manuals.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
  • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with NI LabVIEW and NI hardware platforms.
  • Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA).
  • Strong experience in data acquisition, signal conditioning, and sensor integration.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW OOP, state machines, and producer-consumer architectures.
  • Experience with real-time systems and FPGA development using LabVIEW FPGA module.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with TestStand or other test management software.
  • Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages for data analysis.
  • Experience in energy management or industrial automation domains.
