Customer Project Technical Senior Engineer

We are seeking a Customer Project Technical Engineer with strong technical expertise in electrical distribution systems and leadership capabilities to drive the design process. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience switchgear design and testing, transformers, AVR, NER, drives, soft starters, and conventional control systems . This role focuses on E-House projects, requiring coordination with mechanical teams, integration of electrical utilities, and active involvement in customer interactions during tendering and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Engineering:

o Lead MV & LV switchgear designs, including schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.

o Prepare cable sizing calculations, cable selection, and create cable lists and schedules.

o Design conventional control systems for switchgear applications.

o Ensure compliance with ANSI codes and IEC standards.

• E-House Integration:

o Lead the electrical design process for E-Houses, ensuring proper interfacing and coordination with mechanical teams.

o Integrate electrical utilities such as lighting systems, HVAC, fire-fighting panels, earthing, lightning protection, and small distribution boards.

• Protection & Testing:

o Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for equipment.

o Configure and test protection relays, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with ANSI standards.

• Customer Interaction & Project Support:

o Actively engage with customers to clarify technical requirements and provide solutions.

o Support tendering phase with technical inputs.

o Provide technical support during project execution and resolve engineering issues.

• Leadership & Collaboration:

o Lead the design process and oversee supplier engineering activities.

o Work closely with project technical leader and project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and technical accuracy.

o Be a team player and foster collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

o Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc).

• Experience:

o 2-4 years in electrical distribution engineering, with hands-on experience in MV & LV switchgear design and testing.

o Strong knowledge of transformers, AVR, NER, drives, soft starters, cables, and conventional control systems.

o Good experience in protection relays and familiarity with ANSI codes.

o Experience in E-House projects, including cabling and utilities integration.

• Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.

o Strong understanding of IEC and ANSI standards and electrical safety practices.

• Soft Skills:

o Leadership skills to manage and drive the design process.

o Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

o Ability to work collaboratively in a project-driven environment.
