Serve as a Sales Engineer for Scality’s proprietary scale-out data storage technology product.
Collect information on prospective U.S. and international customers, participating in and writing responses to RFPs and RFIs, with a focus on technical infrastructure considerations.
Analyze prospective customer technical infrastructure to define compatibility with Scality products and understand customer requirements. Present the Scality product during the sales process, ensuring its promotion in both technical and business terms, as well as the proper architecture and configuration consulting in the context of a given deal. Utilize knowledge of Scality’s object-based storage solutions to provide technical sales support, contributing to training customers. In connection with the sales process, participate in the solution architecture process based on customer requirements, including consideration of 3rd party integrations and analysis of hardware sizing and selection. Engage in industry analysis and competitive trend analysis for the storage industry. Provide clear and timely communication with the sales team and customers, as well as Product Management teams.
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or closely related.
At least 2 years of sales engineering experience in the big data/storage industry, including gathering customer requirements, preparing sales packages to meet customer requirements, and working with sales team to present sales package.
At least 12+ months’ experience with Scality object-based storage solutions, or equivalent data storage technology.
All experience may be gained concurrently.
