The Strategic Business Developer, working in Southern California under the supervision of Chief Business Development Officer, will collaborate and execute market strategy for a specified geographic market . This strategic plan will include focus on census growth in existing centers, de novo development, service line offerings, home program growth, and integrated care services. Once developed, the Strategic Business Developer will be responsible for driving the strategic plan and working with our physician, academic, joint venture, and operations team to implement and execute on the various elements of the plan. The Strategic Business Developer, with assistance from Operations team members, will identify and call on nephrologists, nephrology office staff, hospital discharge planners and case managers for advancing outreach. This role collaborates closely with the rest of the business development team, office of strategic growth, and most importantly the Operations team to ensure that we are providing outreach and representing Satellite Healthcare in a professional and compliant way.

Essential Functions:

  • Medical practice and physician relations management, including Medical Director relationships (nurturing existing relationships and forming new ones)
  • Business development with a significant focus on new business development, understanding of joint ventures and relevant financial analytics (including developing pro forma for joint ventures)
  • Meeting with physicians, nurse practitioners and physician office staff to market Satellite centers and services for their patient population
  • Assist Chief Business Development Officer in developing a regional outreach plan in conjunction with the cross functional market development, office of strategic growth, and operations team
  • Work in conjunction with others at Satellite to represent the company with the National Kidney Foundation, American Kidney Fund, American Association of Kidney Patients and other relevant professional organizations in local meetings and events
  • Provide a monthly progress plan to VP of Business Development for respective market
  • Document daily activity on CRM software in accordance to compliance requirements
  • Work with marketing to develop and use appropriate materials to deliver our messages
  • Responsible for driving the Satellite Healthcare culture through values and customer service standards
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication
  • Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers (internal and external) in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree required

Experience: Two to five (5) years of experience in healthcare (industry experience is a plus)
