ABOUT THE ROLE
Quality nutrition care is integral to the accomplishment of Satellite Healthcare's vision for comprehensive CKD care. The purpose of the role of Nephrology Dietitian is to utilize nutrition expertise and clinical knowledge to educate patients on best choices for health and wellness when living with kidney disease to enhance health, well-being, and quality of life. The Nephrology Dietitian brings value to the interdisciplinary team by providing care coordination, evidence-based care, and quality-improvement leadership. As a nutrition expert and champion, the Nephrology Dietitian empowers patients to take control of their nutritional health, providing education to increase patient confidence in nutrition choices. This personalized nutrition care is key to the excellent patient outcomes and patient experience that Satellite Healthcare strives to achieve.

The Nephrology Dietitian partners with patients to develop a customized nutrition plan which integrates health priorities balanced with the priorities of the individual patient's life. The Nephrology Dietitian serves as center leader in the areas of nutrition, fluid management, bone and mineral disorder, and dialysis adequacy, collaborating with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team to facilitate high-quality patient care.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN
Relationships: You will work directly with a multi-disciplinary team who are just as passionate as you with making a difference in others' lives. In the chronic care setting of dialysis, you will develop rapport and relationships with patients, allowing you to monitor and support their progress over weeks, months, and years.

You will be a key member of the interdisciplinary team, partnering with Physicians, Nurses, Social Workers, and other disciplines to provide holistic, highest-quality care to our patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: One (1) year of nutrition practice in a clinical setting after completion of internship is required.
Education: Bachelor's degree and successful completion of dietetic internship/supervised practice.
License/Certifications: Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); License required in states with Dietitian licensure (TX, TN).
