We believe in empowering the business with execution visibility, advanced analytics and with interactive data visualizations from multiple data sources. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Statistical Data Scientist Leadto join our Supply Chain Analytics team.

You will contribute to empower the life of our patients worldwide by extracting meaning from data and providing tangible and actionable outcomes using the latest available technics and technologies (AI/ML/GenAI).

Main responsibilities:
  • Contribute to our forecasting capabilities through enhancements, automatization and expansion of our forecasting cycle. Defining statistical forecast automation strategies based on advanced cloud computing.
  • Connect externally to bring outside in expertise in new technologies and techniques, and also benchmark
  • Provide the best possible forecast signal as it drives decisions on the whole supply chain: what/where/when to buy, produce, ship, stock... so that our medicines are available to our patients in time and at the most efficient cost.
  • Maintain and improve our current forecast engine code base and develop new features to include more statistical or machine-learning based models and algorithms
  • Lead innovation projects related to the forecasting cycle and related to increasing the impact of our forecasts within the business
  • Work with GBU Leads to integrate relevant transversal data for advanced predictive models including but not limited to Sinergy, finance promotions, patients, launch plan and indications, internal and external BOS and Economic Trends.
  • Ensure that data is managed/analyzed in compliance with applicable quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.) and cybersecurity requirements

About you

  • Experience: + 8 years' experience. Have a broad experience with time series forecasting, in particular on the statistical and machine learning models and algorithms. Experience in Data Science related projects. Developing people with new ways of optimizing internal forecasting process and collecting market intelligence. Previous experience improving forecast accuracy by integrating relevant transversal data for advanced predictive models.

  • Soft skills: Model business problems into data solutions. Ability to understand and interpret forecasting algorithms. Rounded presentation skills; experience in usage of cloud computing technologies and digital platforms within AI framework. Proven leadership in team management and agile project management. High level of emotional intelligence and business integrity; role model for behaviours consistent with our company values.

  • Technical skills: program at an advanced level with R and Python. Experience with DevOps/MLOps lifecycle is a plus. SQL, Spark, Docker, AWS experience is a plus.

  • Education: Degree in Statistics, Computer Engineering, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Economics or related fields. Master in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar preferred. PHD is an asset.

  • Languages: Fluent in English, and fluency in Spanish and other languages is considered an asset.
