Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists Head of US Benefits in developing and managing U.S. Health & Welfare (H&W) and Retirement Plan strategy and as part of the Company's overall Total Reward Philosophy that drives key business objectives by building the strategy and delivery process that aligns with Global strategy and philosophy as well as being competitive with local market.
  • Leads administration of H&W, retirement and severance benefits with 3rd party vendors/partners, day to day operations and ensures the vendors/partners are providing the Company with best in class service and properly handle escalation of member cases in a timely and efficient manner. Serves as primary contact for these vendors/partners.

  • Leads annual H&W open enrollment processes and assists in developing all employee communications during the year.
  • Assists Head of US Benefits with implementation and rollout of new H&W plans and programs.
  • Leads the transition of health and welfare and retirement benefits for employees joining the Company in connection with a business acquisition.
  • Makes suggestions on recommended plan design changes in H&W arena, based on participant issues and/or benchmarking.
  • Prepares documents for plan members and carriers to clarify plan provisions and administration, and answers Tier 3 escalated questions from plan participants, as needed.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements and keeps abreast of recent and future legislative changes.
  • Compliance with all SOX procedures and ability to change processes to ensure compliance as needed.
  • Mentors other Benefits COE team members and partners closely with peers in HR, legal, payroll, HRIS, IT, finance and procurement.

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience with employee benefits, ERISA, IRS, DOL.
