Attire - The Society has a very conservative grooming policy. Tattoos may not be visible or must be appropriately covered while on duty. Jewelry may be worn if it does not detract from a well-groomed look or create a safety hazard. No facial or tongue piercing.

Amenities - Located 30 minutes north of the San Diego Zoo in San Pasqual Valley near Escondido, California, this adventure offers ZOO Perks which include discounts on food/premium products, free and discounted admission to local attractions, and accrual of vacation and sick time (exception for some grants).

Requirements include:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for dynamic individuals who can provide our guests with an exceptional customer service experience. Requirements include a positive attitude, ability to take initiative, be a team player and have the ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers and an eagerness to put your passion for wildlife to work.

For these positions, applicants MUST be able to perform multiple duties at the same time and be flexible enough to deal with guests in a tactful, courteous manner. MUST be able to communicate effectively with others.

Hours scheduled per week will be approximately 12-25 hours. Work schedule will vary depending on operational needs. The Guest Ambassador performs a variety of duties with a main focus of providing assistance to Safari Park visitors and employees.

Responsibilities include operating turnstiles as assigned, taking tickets, checking member identification, keeping order at turnstiles and other attractions, greeting visitors, crowd control at various locations, operation of carousel, ability to physically complete and monitor a ropes challenge course, provide directions and other general information.

Additional requirements include the ability to stand for long periods; walking up to two miles in a shift ; ability to maintain crowd control traffic flow in the parking lot.

A valid California driver license is preferred. The Guest Ambassador performs a variety of duties with a main focus of providing assistance to Safari Park visitors and employees.
