Samsung NEXT Ventures is focused on investing in early-stage (seed, Series A, Series B) software and services companies that are strategically relevant to Samsung's various business units.  Our target investment areas include VR/AR, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Autonomous Systems, Payments, Digital Health and Security.

The team is seeking an exceptional, detail and execution-oriented Operations Management individual who can thrive in an open, entrepreneurial environment. Our growing group includes members in Silicon Valley, New York, Tel Aviv, Berlin and Seoul and works collaboratively with the rest of Samsung NEXT and the broader Samsung organization.

This is not an investor role. This role is multi-disciplinary and will involve exposure to finance, marketing, operations, and reporting. The Operations Management individual will report to the head of the Samsung NEXT Ventures team based in Mountain View. The right individual will lead efforts in building operational efficiencies for the ventures team, and collaborate with multiple Samsung business teams around the world to help establish Samsung NEXT Ventures as a premier thought leader and corporate venture capital platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish, manage and scale portfolio management operations, metrics, processes and systems
  • Internal business development and engagement - Inform investment strategy and scope by developing and managing programmatic outreach to internal business units to understand priorities
  • In cooperation with investment professionals, monitor and facilitate strategic collaborations and partnerships between investment portfolio companies and business units
  • Develop internal communications and thought leadership around investment activity and areas of focus
  • Build external relationships with investors and entrepreneurs by developing and managing programs, working closely with NEXT marketing

Required Background/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of work experience managing operations or projects in consulting, startup or corporate environments
  • Pre-MBA position
  • Prior experience in Operations is a bonus
