About the Role:

Samsung Next M&A Team is looking to fill the role of an analyst to assist the team in developing growth strategy and executing M&A and strategic investment projects for Samsung.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of M&A and strategic investment, including developing decision frameworks; conducting valuation analysis and case modeling; coordinating due diligence efforts involving cross-functional teams, and assembling findings into presentation material
  • Help source acquisition opportunities
  • Participate in strategy development projects that translate into M&A concrete initiatives
  • Assist in building up and crafting inorganic strategy for business units and new business; engaging in creating ideas

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience at a top-tier investment bank, management consulting firm, private equity firm (preferably passionate about software or technology) or Corporate Development at a world-class technology company.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of new frontier technology such as Web3
  • Demonstrated passion for technology through work experience or non-work activities
  • Ability to formulate insights around sophisticated business problems
  • Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance theory, and valuation methodologies
  • Experience crafting financial models in Excel
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills & executive presence: confidence and poise in presenting to executive management
  • Outstanding focus on details, accuracy, and quality
  • Strong personal initiative and sense of humor
  • Experience leading with cross-functional project teams

Bonus points:

  • Experience being engaged in transactions with start-ups
