Position Summary

Conduct 5G/LTE and VoLTE IMS Protocol testing and analysis of wireless carriers' requirements and debug field issues identified through log analysis and performance of specific tests.

Role and Responsibilities

Conduct 5G/LTE and VoLTE IMS Protocol testing and analysis of wireless carriers' requirements and debug field issues identified through log analysis and performance of specific tests. Create, extend, and execute automated and manual test plans to verify Wireless Mobile operation on various carrier networks and technologies using IMS protocol testing. Identify opportunities to improve manual field test scope such as automation of test data generation and test execution using automation scripts. Verify and validate software design, requirements and functionality for projects under development, by providing issue debugging and protocol log analysis. Drive field testing for trial projects of new technology features and software applications in live networks based on 5G/LTE/GSM technologies, before the commercialization. Serve technical responsibility of field testing team and stellar debugging skills using Samsung in-house debugging tools and Qualcomm's analysis tools, including QXDM, QCAT and Network analyzers -Wireshark. Analyze test data, debug failure logs, find the root cause and coordinate with R&D teams to ensure products compliance with requirements and test plans. Create test plans by analyzing carrier requirements specifications and 3GPP specifications to ensure products compliance with Requirements. Research complex experimental test programs and test frameworks to thoroughly evaluate functionality, design requirements, operational capacity and customer performance expectations. Assist R&D team in analyzing test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Education Required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum Experience Required: Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation requiring technical engineering in wireless telecommunications.

Alternate Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Alternate Experience Required: Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation requiring technical engineering in wireless telecommunications.

Special Requirements: The three (3) years of experience with Master's degree, or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience with Bachelor's degree, must have included: utilizing logging and debugging tools including QXDM, QPST, ADB, and Wireshark; verifying and validating test procedures under wireless networks in LTE, 5G, NR, NSA and/or SA environment; and analyzing carrier requirement documents and 3GPP specification, developing test cases, and creating drive routes.

Salary range: $130,146/year
