Role and Responsibilities
Manage Post Launch issues found on Samsung devices to conclusion and perform UE debugging and log analysis in modem (CP) and application layers (IMS). Analyze and debug IMS related features including registration, voice over LTE (VoLTE), voice over WiFi (VoWiFi), video over LTE (ViLTE), Conferencing, Short Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), and Rich Communication Service (RCS). Design and implement test strategies, test plans, functional and performance test cases, policies, infrastructures for ensuring high quality hardware and software for Samsung wireless mobile devices. Specify test equipment required for product verification or qualification testing, understanding call flows, and procedures between User Equipment (UE) and network in non-access stratum (NAS) and access stratum (AS) domain, including Activation, VoLTE/CS call processing, Attach/Detach, Cell selection and reselection, and handovers. Provide training of Qualification test personnel as required to ensure thorough test coverage. Collaborate with Developers and Project Managers in defining and designing performance test tools and infrastructures designing and building performance and Internet of Things (IOT) test infrastructure. Ensure thorough test coverage and test performance before product launch date. Respond promptly to reports submitted by other QA engineers and professionally report software and hardware detected issues to upper management. Conduct internal issue analysis with limited support from upper management to increase Samsung mobile device's quality and stability in a rapidly progressing mobile industry. Write proposals, professional reports, and make presentations to colleagues and upper management. Communicate with R&D and manufacturer technical support staff regarding test needs and performance, and assist R&D and support personnel as needed to determine internal/market issues. Research and recommend test tools to upper management and provide recommendations to increase engineer productivity and software test management.

Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation in mobile QA engineering in the wireless industry. 7 years of experience must have included 7 years of experience with: performing mobile devices radio frequency and drive testing in LTE, UMTS and/or CDMA networks; QA life cycle, test plans, test executing and reporting; utilizing log capturing and processing tools, including QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark, Over-the-Air (OTA) signaling messages; experience in LTE features, including VoLTE, ViLTE, VoWiFi, RCS messages, and OTA Activation; and experience in IMS Session Initiated Protocol (SIP), Message Session Relay Protocol (MSRP) VoLTE, and IR94 call processing.
Salary: $130,146/year
