What you’ll be doing…

As a Lead Software Engineer on this team, you will

  • Leverage and advance our unique statistical engine to incept, design and develop new capabilities in Tableau Desktop, Server, and Online (SaaS) products.
  • Mentor other software engineers by demonstrating an unrelenting focus on engineering excellence.
  • Advance your understanding of statistics and quantitative analysis.
  • Develop in various programming languages including C++, Java, Typescript with React/Redux, and Python

  • Experienced - writing code and a proven track record of shipping software. Experience developing at the system level and with numerical methods is highly valued.
  • Versatile - You have the ability to quickly jump between different technologies and are comfortable working from the UI down to the lowest level of an application stack.

  • Passion for statistics – You are interested in statistics and eager to learn more about it. A formal education in statistics is an asset, but not a requirement.

  • This role requires active collaboration with our other development offices and direct interaction with our customers. Successful candidates should be comfortable working with distributed teams.
