OVERVIEW

You will join a team that is building one of the many apps/products focused on providing solutions for our Trailblazers (yes, that's what we call our users...Trailblazers)! Day-to-day, you will lead our incredible team of tech lead(s), and engineers, own and drive the technical roadmap, and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment. You will lead in the overall planning, execution, and success of a complex cross-functional team, and work closely with the product, architects, and UX team to build features and capabilities that consistently delight our Trailblazers. You should have a passion for building elegant solutions while minimizing technical debt. Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement a roadmap that delivers the features, scale, and reliability per our customer needs.
  • Deliver high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
  • Lead and mentor a team of managers, engineers, providing technical guidance and career development opportunities
  • Leverage agile work management practices, including sprint planning and retrospectives to track critical deliverables.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the engineering team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Foster an environment that encourages quality, productivity, and innovation in accordance with our Values.
  • Invest in continuous employee development of a highly technical team by mentoring and coaching engineers and technical leads in the team.
  • Participate in identifying opportunities and improving the processes and culture of the engineering organization in general.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams (Internal & External to Salesforce) to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications
  • Manage vendor relationships

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Masters / Bachelors degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Equivalent Experience
  • Must be able to guide and work with engineering teams, product management, cross-functional units, and upper management.
  • Overall 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
  • 5+ years of Engineering Management experience.
  • Experience establishing and measuring OKRs or team goals
  • 2+ years of working knowledge or implementation of the Salesforce product suite/ Customer 360 tools ( Sales, Service, Community, Marketing Clouds, Mulesoft, and Analytics).
  • Salesforce Certifications (Admin, Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker that can see the big picture, innovate and adapt to constant change.
  • Ability to work under pressure, highly adaptable, and well organized.
  • Experience building and delivering highly scalable, reliable, and complex software systems on time and on budget.
  • Experience with Kanban/Agile development methodologies. Scrum master experience is a plus.
  • Experience with managing outsourced development models.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Results orientation with a focus on delivering value for the customer.
  • Experience in communicating with developers, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, and describe software product features, and technical designs.
  • Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with good executive presence. Verbal and written; ability to work with remote teams during non-traditional business hours.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with the Education and Learning technology domain is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience with the Salesforce product suite.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $188,200 to $305,600.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
