Pool Life Guard

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Overall safety of all guests of the pool. To ensure that the entire pool area including chairs, tables, and pools are clean prior to opening and closing of the pool and to ensure guest satisfaction throughout the day.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
40% Lifeguarding and Greeting all guest and members, provide them with towels and a high level of customer service.
20% Have complete knowledge of items available in retail area and bike rentals, able to act as a cashier and to secure the proper payment and release forms for bikes.
10% To complete setting up and breaking down of area as designated by management (i.e. chairs, umbrellas, pool functions, bikes etc).
10% Constant walk-through of pool area to keep clean
10% Maintain complete safety around pool areas
5% Assist in daily pool activities for guests and members
5% Inspect entire pool area replacing any missing items and/or repairing (when possible) any items needing attention. (i.e. umbrellas, chairs, etc).

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
• Adhere to and enforce all Pool Safety Rules.
• Make guests requests your top priority.
• Adhere to hotel and pool safety standards.
• Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Customer service experience preferred

Available to work any of the following shifts Monday through Thursday 8am-2pm or 12pm to 6pm or Fridays through Sunday 9-3pm, 11-5 or 3pm-8pm (July, August and September until pool closes)
