Senior Sales Operations Associate

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Sales Operations Associate to report into our Vice President of Strategy and Commercial Operations. This individual will support Sailthru’s Sales and Customer Success teams by serving as our Salesforce Administrator, supporting the sales compensation and commissions process, and providing ongoing business analysis to drive performance management, analytics, growth, transparency and accountability.

Salesforce Administration:

  • Oversee CRM enhancements, business implementation and utilization across all departments to maximize sales effectiveness and account management
  • Select, administer & manage all third-party installed applications
  • Enable reporting of pipeline, bookings, and sales performance through data management and automation
  • Work with cross-functional leaders to gather and refine business requirements
  • Manage Salesforce user requests, system troubleshooting, and system escalations, & manage third party consultants on systems integration projects
  • Create and maintain policies, procedures, process documentation, triggers and workflow rules to improve data quality and sales processes
  • Perform data loading and management including updating records and merging / processing duplicate records

Sales Compensation:

  • Participate in developing compensation plans
  • Conduct monthly commission calculations across 5+ roles; collaborate with Accounting and HR to ensure timely commissions payments
  • Keep track of compensation exceptions, changes, clawbacks, etc.

Business Analysis:

  • Create dashboards and reports to give visibility into our sales & success efforts
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses, leveraging SFDC and other sources, to develop insights on key business drivers, trends, competitors and operating metrics
  • Communicate findings to senior leadership by preparing polished presentations and identifying key takeaways

Skills + Experience:

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales Operations / Analytics, with 2+ years of demonstrated SFDC administration proficiency
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, both quantitative and qualitative; exposure to financial analysis through previous work experience
  • Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience using or LexiLoader a plus
  • Ability to focus meticulously on details required to design & build systems required to support sales teams
  • High aptitude for analytics, organization, and process development
  • Independent; comfortable taking on project management and team leadership responsibilities with little to no day-to-day oversight
  • Highly adaptable; able to operate in a rapidly evolving start-up environment
