Following our successful launch in the UK, we are looking for someone to manage our Supply Chain and help us drive our expansion into Europe.   This is a unique, once in a lifetime opportunity to shake-up and influence the food industry.

Responsibilities - Role

  • Lead a highly flexible supply chain network and manage the dynamic demands of a rapidly growing business
  • Build and effectively manage partnerships within our supply chain network
  • Identify KPIs across the Supply Chain and establish appropriate tracking for each, emphasizing the need for efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Dive into data entry and manual tasks – no activity is too small attitude; conduct ad-hoc supply chain and operations responsibilities as needed and oversee data management and supply chain analytics

Supply/Demand Planning & Manufacturing

  • Lead an effective S&OP process to drive accurate forecasts of customer demand and event/sample demand and ensure the right inventory levels are maintained to balance cost efficiency, service level, and product quality in collaboration with EU sales and finance counterparts
  • Continuously develop sales and inventory forecasting process and establish plan to integrate and support new EU markets
  • Communicate forecasts to partners on required cadence
  • Collaborate with RX HQ team on procurement activities and material requirements planning

Operations and Customer Fulfillment

  • Ensure optimal interface of supply chain partners and systems to support the E-Commerce (B2B and direct-to-consumer) elements of the business; ensure orders are properly executed and solve for errors when necessary
  • Prepare the supply chain and develop solutions for launching new e-commerce and retail partnerships in both the UK and EU
  • Manage daily operations and relationships with customers including customer onboarding activities
  • Work directly with 3rd party warehouses and distribution centers on receiving and shipping needs to coordinate transportation and logistics to end customer
  • Collaborate with finance to manage accounts payable and receivable for numerous partners and customers

Quality

  • Effectively liaise with counterparts in RXBAR globally to ensure appropriate consistency in approaches and standards
  • Collaborate with RX quality team on all food safety and quality related activities

 Responsibilities - Team

  • Ability to travel 20-30% to visit suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners; valid UK driver’s license
  • Flex day-to-day focus to support critical needs of the business as it grows, including engaging in activities outside of their stated functional area – ‘pitching in’ is the norm
  • Be comfortable with a workday and schedule that isn’t always highly structured or predictable – this is anything but a ‘punch in, punch out’ situation

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in FMCG supply chain roles with significant local UK and EU market knowledge
  • Meaningful experience in E-Commerce (including direct to consumer) and retail fulfillment working with third party logistics partners
  • Experience establishing and negotiating contracts with supply chain partners
  • NetSuite or other ERP experience; strong analytical skills are a must have
  • Advanced MS Excel skills are a firm requirement
  • Ability to effectively manage workload by meeting deadlines and ensuring quality
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience growing and managing a team
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a ‘self-start’ mentality
  • A leader and a team player: ability to work and make decisions autonomously with appropriate levels of collaboration and engagement the RX team to ensure alignment
  • Results driven and persistent in the face of ambiguity and dynamic work conditions 
  • Problem-solver seeking innovative and creative solutions with a consistent focus on details
  • Blue chip training with a thirst for challenger brands

Desirable:

  • Degree in supply chain, business or operations related field
  • Exposure to procurement and inventory management of natural ingredients, i.e. with high seasonality/perishability
  • Experience working closely with food quality and regulatory teams
